How to Use Semantic Search

Find videos by meaning, not just keywords

Semantic search is in private beta and available on Business plans.

Semantic search understands the meaning behind your query, so you can find relevant videos even when your search terms don't appear word-for-word in the transcript or metadata.

How it differs from transcript search

Standard transcript search matches exact words (with stemming). If you search "onboarding new employees", it only finds videos that contain those words.

Semantic search understands intent. Searching "onboarding new employees" can also surface videos about "new hire orientation", "first day walkthrough", or "employee training program" — even if those exact phrases don't match your query.

How to use it

Semantic search is available on the same Search page. When enabled for your team, results automatically include semantic matches alongside keyword matches.

No configuration is required. The search index is built automatically as your videos are processed.
