How to Search by Transcript

Find videos by what was said in them

Transcript search lets you find videos based on what was spoken in them, including the exact moment a word or phrase appears.

Open the Search page

Navigate to the Search page from the sidebar. The search input opens with focus so you can start typing immediately.

Type your query

As you type, results update automatically after a short pause. You can also press Enter to search immediately.

Results show up to 10 matching videos. Each result includes:

  • Title — highlighted if your query matched it
  • Description — a snippet around the matching text, highlighted
  • Tags — highlighted if any tag matched
  • Transcript and chapter moments — timestamped excerpts from within the video where your query appears

Jump to a moment

If a video's transcript contains your search terms, each matching excerpt is listed below the video with a timestamp. Click any excerpt to open the video at that exact moment.

What gets searched

Search covers all videos in your team library that have finished processing. Deleted videos and videos still being processed do not appear in results.

The search index includes video titles, descriptions, tags, transcript text, and chapter titles. Results use stemming, so searching "running" also matches "run" and "runs".
