How to Choose a Plan and Manage Billing

Subscribe to a plan and manage your billing details through the Stripe portal

host.video requires an active subscription for each team. This guide covers how to choose a plan when setting up a team and how to manage billing after you've subscribed.

Step 1: Go to the plans page

After creating a team, you are directed to the plans page. You can also reach it at any time from within the app if your team does not have an active subscription.

Step 2: Choose a billing interval

At the top of the page, toggle between Annual and Monthly billing. Annual billing saves 16%.

Step 3: Compare plans and subscribe

Three plans are available:

Starter — $20/month or $200/year

  • 1 user
  • 200 GB storage
  • 2 TB bandwidth per month
  • Transcripts, subtitles, and auto-generated chapters
  • Transcript and metadata search
  • Basic analytics (views, watch time, countries, devices, referrer)

Business — $100/month or $1,000/year

Custom — From $5,000/year

  • Unlimited users
  • Flexible storage and bandwidth
  • Volume pricing
  • Per-viewer analytics and audit logs
  • Whiteglove migration support and a dedicated account manager

Click Subscribe on the Starter or Business plan to proceed to checkout. For Custom, click Book a call to contact the team.

Step 4: Complete checkout

Clicking Subscribe takes you to Stripe's hosted checkout page. Enter your payment details and complete the purchase. After a successful payment, you are returned to the app and your team's subscription is active.

Manage billing

To update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel your subscription, go to Settings in the sidebar. In the Billing section, click Manage. This opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can:

  • Update your credit card or payment method
  • View and download past invoices
  • Cancel or modify your subscription

When you're done, close the portal to return to the Settings page.
