How to View Video Details

Find metadata, file info, and technical specs for any video

The video details page gives you a full view of a video's metadata, technical specs, files, analytics, and access rules — all in one place.

Open a video

From the Videos page, click any video to open its detail page. The URL will be /videos/[id].

Details panel

On the right side of the page, the Details panel shows:

  • Filename — the original filename from upload
  • Resolution — width × height in pixels (e.g. 1920 x 1080), shown once processing is complete
  • Duration — formatted as m:ss or h:mm:ss
  • Size — original file size in KB, MB, or GB
  • Created — the date the video was uploaded

These fields are populated after the video finishes processing. If the video is still in a processing state, resolution and duration may not yet be shown.

Title and description

The video's title appears at the top of the main column. If no title was set, the filename or video ID is used instead. A description is shown below the title if one exists.

Tags and chapters

If the video has been processed with intelligence features, AI-generated tags appear below the description as badges. Chapters are listed further down with clickable timestamps that seek the player to that point in the video.

Transcript

If a transcript was generated, it appears below the chapters. Each segment is clickable and seeks the player to that moment. Active segments are highlighted as the video plays.

Analytics

The Analytics panel shows total views, unique viewers, total watch time, and completion rate for the video. A bar chart of views over time is shown when there is more than one data point.

Files

The Files panel lists the direct URLs for each file associated with the video:

  • Original — the source file as uploaded
  • Adaptive — the HLS manifest for adaptive bitrate streaming
  • Poster — the thumbnail image
  • Transcript — the transcript JSON file (if available)
  • Outline — the chapters JSON file (if available)

Click any URL to copy it to your clipboard. Files that are still processing show a spinner instead of a URL.

Embed code

Once the video is ready, an Embed panel appears with the iframe embed code. Click it to copy the code.

Access rules

The Access Rules panel shows the current effective rules for the video — either inherited from your team defaults or a custom override. Click Edit to configure video-level rules that override the team defaults.
